WordMap
for iPhone and iPod Touch
WordMap is an information visualization and design toy for the iPhone OS. Think of it as Flikr’s tag cloud, or the web application Wordle, meets magnetic poetry. It creates a rearrangeable layout of keywords from a source text, with word size based on frequency. Using your location, URL, or keyword as a starting point you can explore, design and play.
Not so much useful as ornamental; a pointless diversion with an oracular touch. This map app won't give you directions, but it might give you a word or two of insight!

Design
Touch and drag a word to redraw the map and make it your own.
Shake to redraw into a new randomized layout, alternating between denser grids and spacier lists.
Or tilt to redraw in landscape.
Style
Choose from five styles to alter the color, font and case. With styles ranging from handwritten cursive to white board marker, match the medium to the message, or play them off each other.
Explore
Double touch a word to build a new map from the internet search results for that word. That word leads
Place
Choose to build from your current location and your map is built using geotagged Wikipedia pages as your text.
A new way to look at where you live, or just where you are!
Share
Currently, the best way to share your WordMap is to take a screenshot.
Press the home and power buttons simultaneously and a screenshot is added to your Camera Roll. From there you can email and upload your creation.
Build
Build your own map to get a new understanding of a keyword, website or location.
Try any website with actual text. Not every site will be mappable, however. Very large texts, non-English and Flash sites, for example, are not supported.

Problems & Suggestions
WordMap is a hobby project, done in my spare time. I do plan to update, fix and improve it, but because of limited resources I might not get to all customer requests and suggestions.
However I am still very interested to get your feedback, answer your questions and address any problems you encounter.
